Explain Your Product in 60 Seconds Flat

Ridhwik

Most reps know their product and still explain it badly, because product training is feature training. This goal teaches you to turn a feature into a change in someone's day, tie it to a need the customer actually stated, deliver a 60 second version that ends in a question, and back every claim without promising more than delivery can keep. You will practice until the buyer can say your sentence back to you.

Your learning path

Skills you will learn

1

Translating Product Features Into Customer Benefits

The learner transforms raw feature descriptions into distinct personal benefits by identifying specific tasks or worries. They practice applying the "so what" technique to unearth a "bad day" failure case for a named user. By the end of this session, the learner can draft a benefit statement that describes a specific customer's Friday morning without using the product name.

2

Anchoring Value to Stated Customer Needs

The learner extracts exact phrases from discovery notes to anchor a single, targeted benefit back to a stated customer need. They evaluate whether their value statement is memorable by testing the buyer's ability to repeat it. At the end of the session, the learner will be able to construct a custom value sentence designed to survive internal repetition to secondary decision-makers like finance directors or spouses.

3

Delivering the Sixty Second Value Explanation

The learner drafts and delivers a highly structured, five-part pitch that conveys value in under sixty seconds. They practice maintaining control of the narrative when interrupted by common curveballs like immediate pricing demands. At the end of the session, the learner can deliver a 130-word pitch that starts with a customer-focused problem and ends with an engaging diagnostic question.

4

Supporting Sales Claims Without Overpromising Value

The learner reframes bold, unqualified assertions into defensible value claims with structured ranges, clear operating conditions, and explicit data sources. They practice managing customer pressure to match competitor percentages and learn how to write honest parameters directly into quotes. At the end of the session, the learner can construct a written value commitment that remains realistic six months post-sale.
